What this says is spot on. It is super frustrating that you spend a bunch of money and on the first day you go to use it there is all this locked content asking you to pay a little more. Way to respect your fans.

Shouldn't they do it the other way around? Everyone that buys a game in the first month gets access to exclusive cars or something?

They haven't, so far. They mitigate needing to model thousands of cars by making some high quality and some low. Personally, that don't bother me none, but the calls for more HQ cars will only increase in the next gen.

Bottom line; More detailed intricately modeled cars = higher development costs. I want to believe they can give us thousands of fully detailed vehicles without turning to DLC, but I don't see how it can happen without that, or without raising the price of the game itself.

The way things are going these days, people are more likely to get exclusive micro transactions instead of cars... :/

That probably part fo why I never shifted up from the PS2 era as well, I couldn't figure out most of the new "features" in most games or why they were needed to begin with. I mean, other than make the publisher more money, of course.

Goes to show that visuals can't make a game by themselves... What's the point of being able to look at the cars in that insane amont of detail if you can't drive them properly afterwards? Also, fuck micro transactions. Dragon Age Origins had some of the worst, most annoying, fucked up micro transactions I've ever experienced, the game would let you start a quest, get involved in a detailed dialogue explaining why it would be awesome, only to bring out a price tag and stick it on your fucking face in order to continue.

Seriously, fuck that game.

I have been very happy with my xbone. Big improvement from the 360. A few patches will make Forza much better.

Don't know if sweden is insane enough to step all over eachother for a $5 elmo doll like we do here in the US, but if you have black friday over there, I've seen some new PS3s + two games go for $200 or so.

I pad +$250 for my GTA bundle. Honestly, I should have waited 'til after the new consoles launch to get one since that would naturally push down the retail value.

Honestly, I don't think they look that impressive. Everything looks kinda flat to me. Maybe it's just me being used to pCARS and pc games in general. but so far I haven't seen anyhting mindblowing from the "next-gen" consoles. I hope they prove me wrong over time though. I'd love to be wrong. But for now the 'step' to next-gen seems a lot smaller than the last times.

It's dirt. Project Cars is great at modeling textures realistically, since cars are never 'as clean' in real life as they are in Forza. Forza is still doing pure-gloss and sharp lines, which don't really exist in the real world. It's still a huge jump on the last generation.

GT5 did the same thing. The menu layouts have always been a visual mess. Then they release DLC. Then they cut the price AND give the DLC cars for free. There really is no incentive to buy right away anymore.

The difference is, they're making us pay for cars again that have already been available for free in previous titles.

I find Forza has a lot of super cars than gt5, which is what I want now. I'll be buying gt6 of course too.
